Pastor Butch LaBauve's Background

Pastor Gordon "Butch" LaBauve III was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and has lived in the Baton Rouge area for 49 years. He was born again at the Manresa Catholic Retreat in Convent, Louisiana. On the third day of the silent retreat, the Lord showed His love by saving and baptizing him in the Holy Spirit. There was no one around to lead him in prayer or lay hands on him. After this supernatural encounter with the Lord, he dedicated himself to follow God completely. Butch was consumed with God's will for his life.

God revealed to him that the power and ability to preach the Gospel would increase as he served the Lord willingly and obediently. God then challenged Butch to trust Him for his training and preparation for the ministry.

Active as a lay pastor at Bethany World Prayer Center, Butch began Ministers Training Institute (MTI) now known as International Network Of Local Churches. He graduated in 1993. In 1999 after a 21 day fast, God spoke to Butch to start River Ministries International (RMI). Butch is an energetic and joyful pastor who flows in the move of the Spirit along with his wife Susan. He imparts an excitement and enthusiasm about the Word of God in a way you won't forget, oftentimes using illustrated sermons to relate to people right where they are.

Family: Happily married to high school sweetheart, Susan Gascon LaBauve for 31 years. Three beautiful children, Jolie Susanne Landry (29), Lanie Cecile Hebert (26), and Gordon Joseph LaBauve IV (21). Two beautiful grandchildren: Emme Ruth Hebert & Hudson Jake Landry.

Educational Background: 3 Year graduate of International Miracle Institute in Pensacola, Florida, Licensed and ordained Minister in 1994 by Pastor Ted Robinson, GSMA Ministry, Graduated from Ministers Training Institute in Baker, Louisiana, Leadership Training Bethany World Prayer Center in Baker, Louisiana, Bachelor of Forestry Management Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Ministry Experience: Senior Pastor at River Ministries International, 7 years Addis, Louisiana, President and Dean of Students of International Miracle Institute of Southern Louisiana in Addis, Louisiana, Presently ministering in various churches, owner of River Bookstore Inc., Christian Businessmen's Meeting, 3 years City Café in Plaquemine, Louisiana, Assistant Pastor at Plaquemine Christian Assembly 3 years, Lay pastor at Bethany World Prayer Center 3 years, Missions trips to: Mexico, Russia, China, India, France, Indoensia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
